What a valid notice must include

To be actionable, your written notice (by email to [email protected]) should include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The specific URL or location on videobox.media of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it.
  3. Your name, postal address, email, and (if available) phone number.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights-holder, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

On receipt of a valid notice we will review it promptly and remove or disable access to the material where appropriate. We may notify the relevant uploader or rights-contributor.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] with: identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, signature, and consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Estonia.

Repeat infringers

We may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Provenance & archival rights

Many works on Videobox are restored archival materials cleared for use or in the public domain in their territory. Our approach to rights clearance and provenance is described in the Content policy.
