01How does the free trial work?
You get 7 days of full access to today's pick and the entire archive. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged. We show the exact renewal price before you start, so there are no surprises when the trial converts.
02What if I don't like what I watch?
You can cancel any time during the trial at no cost. On your first paid charge we also offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. Email [email protected] within seven days of that first charge and we'll refund it — the full path and conditions are on the Refund page.
04Will I be charged automatically?
After the 7-day trial, membership renews automatically at the price shown at checkout — monthly or annual, whichever you chose — until you cancel. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge. Each renewal is billed at the start of the new period.
10How secure is payment?
Checkout runs over an SSL-encrypted connection and card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored on our servers. Checkout opens once subscription setup is connected; we will name the payment processor on our Billing and Cookies pages only once one is actually integrated.
The daily box
05How is the daily selection chosen?
A real team led by founder and chief archivist Freya Danbury watches new and restored archival shorts each morning and ranks exactly thirty by restoration quality, historical weight, and watchability. There is no algorithm picking for you — the ranking is made by people who care about history.
06When does the ranking refresh?
Every day at 00:00 in your own local timezone. The countdown on the landing page shows exactly how long today's box stays open before the next ranking is published.
12Does the same short stay at #1 forever?
No. The #1 pick holds the top spot only until midnight your local time. Tomorrow the box is opened again and a new ranking of thirty is published, with a new short at the top.
Devices & playback
03What devices can I watch on?
Videobox plays in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, and phone. We do not currently offer a native mobile app or a smart-TV app, and we don't claim to. If that changes, we'll say so plainly here.
07Can I download shorts to watch offline?
No. Videobox is web streaming only. We don't offer offline downloads and we won't pretend to — playback requires an active internet connection.

Videobox is operated by Kaadrivara OÜ, registered at Herne tn 24-10, 10135 Tallinn, Estonia. The same entity appears on every legal and contact page.
09Can I share my account?
Membership is for personal use by one account holder. Please don't share credentials — it undermines a small independent service and breaches our Terms.
11Can I submit footage or an archival short?
Yes — we welcome filmmakers, archivists, and rights-holders. Write to [email protected] with a description and provenance, and our team will review it. See the Content policy for rights and provenance requirements.
